Mt. Pleasant Church of God

Pastor Tim Shirley grew up in the local town of Hagerstown, Maryland where he was saved at an early age and accepted the call to ministry at the age of 16. He has been involved in ministry ever since. Tim met his wife, Amanda, while working at a local daycare and married in 2009. Tim has completed multiple Church of God ministry courses as well as ministry licensure through the Church of God. Tim has previously served at Mt. Calvary in Clear Spring, MD as youth pastor and, later as administrative pastor. In December 2019, they accepted the call to come to Smithsburg to serve as pastor of Mt. Pleasant Church of God. They have two wonderful children: son Duncan and daughter Katie.
